Join Bizzy and her friends!
Bright colours, pictures, a storybook so grand,
Soft dog toys surround, both big and small,
We create a nook, safe and amazing,
For reading and senses, a haven for all.
Cautious or brave, the choice is ours,
To touch and pat Bizzy or the soft toys,
There is no right or wrong,
just comfort we seek,
it is totally our choice.
Let's go shop and have fun with role-play,
Don't forget those giant games about dogs,
Who wouldn't want to join and stay?

Relationship Ngā hononga
It is through responsive and reciprocal relationships with people, places and things that children have opportunities to try out their ideas and refine their working theories (p21).
The program is a unique and targeted opportunity for tamariki (children) to gain more awareness about dogs in a safe environment through engaging, fun, and hands-on activities. The program is catered for children 2-5yrs old.
Bizzy’s World meets the following outcomes from the strands of Te Whāriki:
a. Wellbeing / mana atua
Over time and with guidance and encouragement, children become increasingly capable of: » Keeping themselves and others safe from harm | te noho haumaru.
The program provides tamariki with language and strategies that teach them how to (or not to) safely interact with dogs.
b. Belonging / mana whenua
Over time and with guidance and encouragement, tamariki become increasingly capable of: » Making connections between people, places and things in their world | te waihanga hononga
The program provides open-ended and play-based learning opportunities where children can make connections with their community and the wider world.
c. Exploration Mana aotūroa
Over time and with guidance and encouragement, children become increasingly capable of: » Making sense of their worlds by generating and refining working theories | te rangahau me te mātauranga
Bizzy’s World introduces children to a wider understanding of dogs' basic needs and how to care for them. Tamariki are given the opportunity to learn what dogs are telling us, their body language, and their responsibilities when interacting with dogs (Kuri).
